Having a strategy helps any university know where they are headed and what steps are needed to get there. It also allows institutions to make the best use of their resources to ensure that students, present and future, have the best experience possible.
With this in mind, we are now developing a new University strategy for Royal Holloway, called RH2030s which is due to be ready in 2024.
In an ever-changing world, RH2030s will help us find the necessary direction to be bold and brave, to help us continue to adapt to changing circumstances and to fulfil our ambitions for our community - locally, nationally, and globally.
We want Royal Holloway to thrive well into the future and, to that end are working closely with students, colleagues across academic and professional services teams and other partners to co-create this new strategy. It is an opportunity to understand our shared values and use these as the foundation to build our vision so that we become a values-led university of social purpose – a university that focuses on what matters.
Our first RH100 panel of this academic year took place two weeks ago. It was a workshop designed to help us develop a clear understanding of our values as an organisation as part of RH2030s. The conversations had with our student panellists were truly insightful and will play a huge part in co-designing our University values. You can read more about this event in the newsletter below.
We have great foundations to build on at Royal Holloway, both historic and recent. Now is our chance to take forward everything we have learned and re-align our ambitions to meet your needs as a member of our student community.
