Feb 25 2023

National Student Money Week is a nationwide campaign which starts tomorrow (27 February) and runs until Friday (3 March). The theme of this year’s campaign is about coping with the current UK-wide cost-of-living challenges – something I know is impacting us all.

If you, or anyone you know is struggling financially, the Financial Wellbeing team will be in the Davison building between 8-10am on Monday (27 February), Wednesday (1 March) and Friday (3 March), to offer advice on how to make university as financially stress-free as possible. You can also grab a free muffin or piece of fruit to help fuel your morning!

On Tuesday (28 February), the Financial Wellbeing team and the Student’s Union Advice team will be in the Davison building between 11am-3pm. Our Money Advice Advisors will be on hand to offer support and information to those of you who have concerns about your finances, as well as a few fun activities to get involved with.

Throughout National Student Money Week, we will be running a Student Recipe Book competition. This is your chance to submit your cost-effective recipe ideas! The competition will run from Monday (27 February) until Friday (3 March) and the winning recipes will be added to our online Student Recipe Book. All recipe winners will receive a £20 Tesco voucher.

You can find out more and submit your recipe ideas here.

We want to do everything we can to help you get through the current challenging climate and succeed in your studies, so come down to the Davison building to see us this week or check out our cost of living support pages on the Student Intranet here.
