International Concert Series 2020-21
International violinist Mayumi Kanagawa won 4th Prize at the 2019 Tchaikovsky International Competition and was a prize-winner at the YCAT International Auditions held at Wigmore Hall, with upcoming recitals at Wigmore Hall, Berlin Konzerthaus, Estivales Musique de Medoc and for the Mozart Society in Tokyo. We are excited to continue our partnership with Young Classical Artists Trust with a specially commissioned digital concert featuring Mayumi and, heralded as "...an extraordinary young talent", pianist Giuseppe Guarrera.

About the performers
Mayumi Kanagawa is a Berlin based, Japanese-American violinist known for her rich, dark sound and focused, engaging musicality. Recipient of the fourth prize at the 2019 Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow and second prize and best concerto prize at the 2018 Long-Thibaud Crespin competition in Paris, Mayumi has soloed with many orchestras including the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, Mariinsky Orchestra, Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Belgian National Orchestra, among others. Over the last year pianist Giuseppe Guarrera has given critically acclaimed recitals at the Klavier-Ruhr Festival, Pierre Boulez Saal and Wigmore Hall. He made his debut at the Konzerthaus Vienna with Julian Rachlin, and gave solo recitals in the Scherzo series in Madrid, Societa dei Concerti in Milan, Festival Armonie in Valcerrina and Lingotto Giovani in Turin. As a soloist, he appeared with the New Generation Orchestra in Florence and Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen in Cremona. Read more.
