Violence, War and Terrorism: New Historical Perspectives

This taster day will be of interest to students who would like to learn more about how violence, war and terrorism have shaped societies throughout history. All sixth form students are welcome but the day will be of particular interest to students studying the Making of Modern Britain, the British Empire or American History.

The day will feature: a lecture, seminars from leading historians and a campus tour.

During the seminars, students will have the opportunity to explore key themes in greater depth under the guidance of expert historians. By focusing closely on primary source documents, these seminars will also provide visiting students with an intimate understanding of how history is studied at university. Seminar choices will explore a diverse array of topics.

Reserve a place today or email schools-history@royalholloway.ac.uk for further information.
