Welcome to the Department
What is fieldwork like?
Your degree will include an exciting fieldwork offering all over the UK and Europe. Importantly, the cost of all compulsory fieldwork is now INCLUDED in your student fees! Here's a taste of some of these locations in our student-filmed videos:

You’ll also need the instruction manual, and to download the JPEG file of a geological map of the UK!

If you find yourself with some time on your hands, and want to get a feel for the subjects you’ll be learning in your first year of your degree you can look through our selection of crib sheets complete with some introductory information, and a short fun practical exercise to ease you into the modules.
