REPLAY Festival 2019

An energetic and exciting trio arrangement of the orchestral work, Danzón No. 2 by Mexican composer Arturo Márquez. The piece, a popular dance style piece, might be familiar to some concertgoers at the College, as it was performed by the Royal Holloway Symphony Orchestra in concert in 2015. This chamber ensemble version may trigger the memory for some of what was an astounding orchestral concert. The performers seek to present this thrilling piece with smaller forces, demonstrating the quite different nature of chamber performance.

This event is part of REPLAY Festival 2019, a three-day, biennial festival of music presented by the Department, showcasing some of the best and most innovative modern, world and classical music at Royal Holloway.
