We're delighted to offer a postgraduate composition workshop opportunity as part of PLAY festival this year. The performers will be members of Trio Atem. There are five places available to composers on our PhD and MMus programmes.
What can I make if I am selected?
- A composition for flute and cello (with optional stereo electronics, and/or optional mezzo soprano voice) of up to 6 minutes duration
- Note on flute: Gavin Osborn plays an open-holed flute with a B foot. Concert flute only; no doublings.
- Note on electronics: we have planned to provide two loudspeakers, a mixing desk, and microphones for each performer. Live or fixed media electronics, or combinations thereof, are possible.
