POSTPONED Taster Day: Music Performance at Royal Holloway

We regret to inform you we have had to postpone the event, owing to multiple strikes taking place on that day. We will write to you to confirm a rearranged date as soon as we can, but we are potentially looking at something at the end of May or start of June. Are you in school years 10-13 and thinking about studying for a music degree? Is music performance your passion? Join us to see what makes music performance at Royal Holloway so special.

Register for our Music Performance taster day at Royal Holloway, where you will have an afternoon experiencing aspects of studying music performance in a university environment. The day will include a tour around our beautiful Egham campus, a concert from our world-famous Chapel Choir, a performance session with our Head of Performance, Dr Mary Dullea, and the opportunity to drop-in on our Orchestral rehearsals under our director of Orchestras, Rebecca Miller.

If travelling by train and travelling from London, please note that Egham lies outside of the Oyster Card zone (last stop to include Oyster is Feltham). Therefore, a ticket would need to be purchased from London Waterloo to Egham.

Royal Holloway is a leafy, campus university so most of what you will need will be within walking distance when on-site. Car Parking

When you arrive for a College event at our Egham campus, please park in car parks 12 or 4.

Car park 12 can be accessed by turning right as you enter the main College gates and is located next to the tennis courts. If this car park is full, please drive further onto our campus to car park 4, which can be accessed by turning left at the mini-roundabout behind the Students’ Union. We would advise that you bring the College map to campus with you and give yourself plenty of time to park.

Blue Badge holders can find designated parking spaces in Car park 1W, as well as between Gardeners Lodge and the Williams Annexe. You can find these locations by looking at our campus map opposite. If you require any assistance on arrival, please contact our premises team in advance of your visit by emailing: premisesadmin@royalholloway.ac.uk and they will be happy to help.

Please note that we operate an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system on certain parts of our campus, however if you are here for an organised event, parking is unrestricted for event guests in car parks 12, 4 or 14 (or display your blue badge permit if parking in a disabled bay). 12.15pm - 1.00pm Campus Tour
1.15pm - 1.45pm Lunchtime concert with Chapel Choir, under direction of Rupert Gough (Chapel, Founder's Building)
2.00pm - 3.00pm Music Performance Masterclass/taster session, with Director of Music Performance, Dr Mary Dullea (Wettons Terrace)
3.30pm - 4.00pm Drop-in Q&A Session on all thing's music performance at at Royal Holloway with Performance Manager, Nathan J Dearden (Windsor Room 0-02)
4.00pm - 5.00pm Drop-in on Royal Holloway Symphony Orchestra rehearsal, under direction of Rebecca Miller (Windsor Building Auditorium)
7.30pm - 9.30pm OPTIONAL International Concert Series: Evening concert in Windsor Building Auditorium, featuring the Royal Holloway Symphony Orchestra
