REPLAY Festival 2019

The Gamelan Ensemble Puloganti, directed by Honorary Lecturer Simon Cook, specialises in the Sundanese style of West Java (gamelan degung and salendro) and returns this summer for another evening of transcendental sounds. We are honoured to be joined by the renowned tembang Sunda singer Hendrawati, gamelan master Iwan Gunawan and his ensemble Kyai Fatahillah during their UK tour in association with the Indonesian Embassy, and members of London-based group, Sekar Enggal. 

This event is part of REPLAY Festival 2019, a biennial festival of music presented by the Department, showcasing some of the best and most innovative modern, world and classical music at Royal Holloway.
