'Finding My Voice'

Susan Blandford’s work juxtaposes crochet and music, and we are thrilled to present her large work 'Crescendo' throughout a Concert Series event this evening, plus treating us a short introductory talk about the pop-up exhibition at 6.30pm in Windsor Building Foyer. 

Susan experiments with a wide range of unusual materials creating small scale to grand dynamic eye-catching pieces, in rope, wire, used instrument strings and ceramic sculptures, reflecting musical terms and her feelings.

Blending her knowledge of Fine Art Crochet and Music to create original sculptural forms, Susan entices her audiences to walk around her pieces to experience the flowing curvaceous textured patterns of her work.

Sharing her skills of traditional and contemporary crochet; Susan demonstrates and teaches communities of all ages, stages and places from The National Trust to the Women’s Institute, creating a sense of well being.
