REPLAY Festival 2019
The Argenti Quartet, formed in September 2018 (Daniel Gurner, Sue Ling Chan, Quentin Tang and Alex Shaw) explore the work of French composer, Gabriel Fauré. One of the most prominent composers of his time, Fauré's compositions left a profound influence on French music and composers, including Ravel and Debussy. Featuring his String Quartet in E minor, Op. 121, our ensemble will explore Fauré's compositional style from sensuous Romanticism to the inspiration for Impressionism.
This event is part of REPLAY Festival 2019, a three-day, biennial festival of music presented by the Department, showcasing some of the best and most innovative modern, world and classical music at Royal Holloway.
