I am a Language Tutor for Spanish in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures. As a Spanish teacher, I have been very lucky to teach a wide range of students from different countries and of course, to learn from all of them. Over the years, I have held the post of Spanish lecturer in the department of Spanish Studies in both the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB Idiomes) and Ramon Llull University (ESADE). Furthermore, I have also taught Spanish at the nationwide network language school (Escuela Oficial de Idiomas).
One of my main interests is the creation of educational materials and use of ICT in class. This passion has helped me not only in my own development as a teacher, but also with helping and training other teachers to teach online. I have demonstrated that passion in various workshops at the University of Barcelona and the Autonomous University of Barcelona and I have also teamed up with Editorial Difusión (one of the most important publishing houses for Spanish textbooks and resources).
I believe learning a language is easier when students are motivated and encouraged to be creative, so in my classes I love using creative writing, videos or photography as key resources and teaching techniques. In addition, I believe that now more than ever, technology is essential for education.
As I had a bilingual education I am also keen on second language acquisition and the use of ICT in language classes, and how the use of digital resources can help with learning a new language.
