I am Language Tutor in German in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures. I am a passionate linguist with 15 years of language teaching experience at different levels.
My linguistic interests goes beyond German, my native language: I also have an MA in French and Spanish from the University of Oxford. As such I am acutely aware of how difficult language acquisition can sometimes be. I build this first-hand knowledge into my teaching so no question is ever too basic to ask in my seminars.
In teaching methodology, my particular interest lies in the use of authentic materials such as excerpts from recent press articles, YouTube videos and podcasts in the resources I create.
My wider interests include the bilingual brain, 16th-century French literature, 20th-century Mexican literature and modern German film.
