I am delighted to receive the Gillian Harris Prize for my 2nd year Independent Essay. To be awarded this is truly encouraging and most inspiring.
Being part of the department
Studying within the history department at Royal Holloway has been a wonderful opportunity. Everyone within the department has always been very approachable and supportive, allowing for a genuinely positive and welcoming experience.
The variety and diversity of topics offered by the department is uniquely accommodating, as is the passion and enthusiasm they hold towards the subject, which is honestly inspirational.
As such, I am greatly looking forward to continuing my education in my 3rd year within this department, in particular my work on the Crusades.
