  • Date24 September 2018

Congratulations to Eley Williams, who has been awarded this year's James Tait Black Prize for Fiction!

Her winning book, Attrib. and Other Stories (Influx Press), is a series of experimental short stories centred upon the challenges people face in communicating thoughts and feelings. Following on from her election as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, this caps a wonderful period of success for Eley. The department now has two James Tait Black Fiction Prize winners on its staff, with Ben Markovits a winner in 2015 for his book, You Don’t Have to Live Like This (Faber and Faber).
