We are pleased to announce call for papers for 1st Annual Southern PhD Economics Conference (ASPEC) which will be held on 8th and 9th of June 2021. This PhD conference is supported by economics departments and schools in nine universities [University of BathOxford Brookes UniversityCity University of LondonUniversity of East AngliaRoyal Holloway (University of London)Middlesex UniversityUniversity of ReadingUniversity of Southampton and University of Sussex] broadly based in the south of the United Kingdom and will take place online (Zoom).

Prof. Richard Davies

Bristol University, UK

Richard Davies is a Professor of Economics at Bristol University, UK. He is also a fellow at the London School of Economics and director of the UK's Economics Observatory. He has been Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers at HM Treasury, an economist and speechwriter at the Bank of England, and economics editor of The Economist . Prof. Sarah Brown

University of Sheffield, UK

Sarah Brown is a Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics at University of Sheffield, United Kingdom. Prof. Brown is also a Research Fellow at IZA(Institute for the Study of Labour) at Bonn, Germany. Her primary area of research is in Applied Micro-econometrics and her papers have been published in Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics and several other journals. Click here to view their profile in detail.

 

Prof. Scott Cunningham

Baylor University, USA

Scott Cunningham is a Professor of Economics at Baylor University, USA. Prof. Cunningham specializes in the economics of risky behaviours, with a special focus on crime, black markets, abortion and sexually transmitted infections. His research has been published in the Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Urban Economics, Health Economics, and several other journals in economics and health. He is also the recipient of several grants including the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. He is also co-editor at the International Journal of Drug Policy. Click here to view their profile in detail.
