How do I add my impact project on Pure?
Please make sure your PURE profile is up-to-date with your SSIA project.
Pure Projects
- Create a new “Project” with the title “Social Science Impact Accelerator: [project name]”
- Project type is “Knowledge Exchange and Impact”
- Complete all fields
*Make sure you have added your collaborators
*Input your project start and end date
If you have issues adding ESRC IAA as a "Related Award", please add it as a "Related Project."
Pure Activities
Please record any discrete or one-off engagement activity linked to your research or impact in the “Activities” module. For example, public engagement events, exhibitions, media contributions, submitting evidence to parliament etc. Visit the Intranet for further guidance on how to record Activities on Pure.
Pure Impact
You should also record any impact (or intended impact) that has emerged from your research in the “Impact” module. This is a specific and sustained change or benefit outside academia. Please link your impact record to related Activities and your SSIA Project on Pure, under the ‘Relations’ section. Visit the Intranet for further guidance on how to record impact on Pure.
For example:
-
- You are awarded an SSIA residency with a climate charity – this should be recorded in Projects.
- You give a talk at a one-off local school on climate change activism — this should be recorded in Activities.
- Your research and engagement work influences policy changes in 12 local authorities, enhancing youth involvement in climate decision-making — this should be recorded in Impact.
- All records should be linked under the ‘Relations’ section.
