Overview:
This project advances the UK’s Future of Flight Action Plan by convening cross-sector partners, fostering public dialogue, and delivering innovation in governance for safe, equitable, and effective AAM deployment.
Key outputs:
• Thought Leadership Blog Series: Weekly posts featuring expert perspectives and real-world AI case studies from leading voices in academia and industry.
• Podcast: Short, accessible interviews exploring the biggest challenges and opportunities in drone policy and AAM.
• Hybrid Workshop: An interactive event bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, community representatives, and researchers to co-design best practice for drone governance.
• Executive Report: Actionable guidance for responsible AI deployment in emergency response and last-mile logistics.
Impact:
• Direct support for the UK’s Future of Flight Action Plan (2024), the CAA’s Airspace Modernisation Strategy, and ESRC’s Impact Acceleration priorities.
• Creating visible impact for UK policy, society, and industry.
• Fostering an ecosystem of evidence-based knowledge exchange and sustainable partnerships.
