Health Studies Garden

Health Studies Garden

Colleagues and students in the Department of Health Studies plan to create an inclusive and progressive garden that will be a small-scale example of good practice in sustainable food production.

The garden will adjoin the Health Studies building and students will be involved in all aspects of the project including its design, planting and upkeep. It will be used for teaching and will provide a long-term data set to measure, and demonstrate, the impact of good practice.

It will be a space for the department to engage with collaborators, visiting academics, members of the wider University and local community groups and will support student and colleague wellbeing through contact with nature.

The garden will promote biodiversity on our Egham campus, increase carbon capture and improve local air quality.
