Inspire the next generation of students on their career journey

Inspire the next generation of students on their career journey

The Placements team are looking for alumni blogs and/or guest speakers to provide content for our Professional Skills and Insights Programme (PS&IP), a placement scheme open to current Royal Holloway Undergraduates who are either registered with the College’s Disability and Neurodiversity team; receive financial support; are care-leavers and/or are of Black Heritage.

The PS&IP is a targeted series of careers activities designed to support and inspire current Royal Holloway students that will lead to a professional work-based placement. As part of this exciting pathway of activity, we would like to open up the programme to contributions and input from alumni who identify with our current cohort. So, if you are of Black Heritage, had a disability or long-term health condition whilst studying at Royal Holloway or were a care-leaver or received financial support, we would like to hear from you.

We are looking for blog pieces on topics and themes relating to careers, and speakers to share their career success stories and inspire Royal Holloway’s next generation of undergraduates. Can you be that figure of inspiration? Can your words make a lasting impact?

Blog submissions should be between 500 and 1000 words and in Word or PDF. Relevant images can be included as well as a profile photo of yourself.  Guest speakers will have the opportunity to talk online and/or on-campus to a live audience comprising PS&IP students and targeted invitees during Spring and Summer terms 2022.

In the first instance, please email an expression of interest by Thursday 24th February 2022 to Tracey Stuart, Placements Officer at tracey.stuart@rhul.ac.uk.
