The committee is looking for new members and offers of support with specific projects

  • Date16 September 2026

The committee works hard to support members alongside the alumni team at Royal Holloway, producing the newsletter, organising events and becoming involved in other relevant issues.

It meets formally 3 or 4 times a year but quite a bit of work needs to go on behind the scenes to keep the society alive and thriving. As with all of us, we are getting older and some members are stepping down or need to take a back seat. We are therefore looking to recruit one or two active, new members but also welcome offers of support from alumni who may be willing to assist with one-off projects or activities. For example, we would often appreciate help hosting events and would like volunteers to help with the newsletter so that it can better reflect our membership.

We are a friendly and dedicated group but please be aware that we do not have any specific funding and therefore prospective committee members would need to be prepared to pay for their own travel and other expenses, including attending society events.

If you might be interested in joining us in some capacity, please email betty.hales51@gmail.com, giving brief details about yourself, including your name/name at graduation, subject studied, email and phone number. There is no commitment at this stage we are simply wanting to find out the level of interest amongst alumni in becoming more involved.
