The Department of Health Studies is an exciting addition to the School of Life Sciences and the Environment, sitting alongside our existing departments of Biological Sciences, Earth Sciences, Geography and Psychology.
The new department focuses on promoting healthier populations and environments by engaging with fundamental challenges and building healthy and resilient communities. The department will welcome its first postgraduate students in September 2022 with courses in:
- MSc Food Security, Sustainability and Biodiversity (in Partnership with Royal Botanic Gardens Kew).
- MSc Global Health: Human Health and the Environment
- MA Global Health: Society, Culture and Behaviour
The Department of Health Studies is excited to build on established world-class research and interdisciplinary collaborations at Royal Holloway to develop new areas of growth with leading experts in health and environmental sectors. These include Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and the Harvard-led Planetary Health Alliance, whose Northern European Hub is coordinated from Royal Holloway.
