The group has 40 members and keeps in touch via WhatsApp. We share interesting information and hold informal meetings once or twice a term, usually in the Bedford Room at 11 Bedford Square.
On 24th June several of us met for our annual walk in Regent’s Park, which has become quite a tradition. We wandered around the Queen Mary Gardens and then went into Regent’s University where we had arranged to meet up with Julius, from the Regent’s Alumni team, before having lunch in the refectory, now known as ‘The Social’.
He outlined many aspects of the University now. It was facinating, but also quite poinant to hear how different it is to the Bedford College we remember. As Bedford alumni we are eligible to become become members of the Regent’s alumni community. We can then be part of an online platform called Re:Connect, visit the campus whenever we wish and use the library and other facilities. Lunch was excellent and a great improvement on the sausage and chips we remembered from the past.
