Matthew Paterson is the current Vice President Education at Royal Holloway Students' Union. The Vice President Education is one of the four elected Sabbatical Officer positions, and serves to represent student voice in University committees and advocate for students.
Matthew was a first-generation BA Politics and International Relations student and worked as a Student Ambassador for The Purpose Coalition, a group advocating for social mobility in the UK.
Like all the Officers, Matthew is working on the Students' Unions Priority 8, with his Priorities being to 'Increase Social and Study Spaces' and to 'Reduce Deadline-Stacking'. Matthew is working closely with students and Senior Leadership to achieve these aims.
