Rachel joined Royal Holloway as University Secretary in 2026. She is an experienced governance professional with over 20 years’ experience in UK higher education, most recently as Director of Governance at Imperial College London. She has previously served as Head of Governance at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and worked at Royal Holloway for a number of years prior to 2016 including as Deputy Secretary.
As University Secretary, Rachel leads the Governance Office, Legal Services and Executive Support Team, and reports to the Chief Operating Officer, with unfettered access to the Chair of Council.
