Fred Piper Information Security Lecture

This year's Fred Piper Information Security Lecture will be given by Kieron O'Hara.

Kieron is a philosopher, computer scientist and political writer. He is an associate professor and principal research fellow within the department of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton where he specialises in the politics, philosophy and epistemology of technology. He is also a research fellow at the Web Science Trust and the Centre for Policy Studies.

Professor Fred Piper founded our Information Security Group, and his work has shaped our thinking about how protect and manage information. Fred played an instrumental role in making information security both publicly accessible and a fully-fledged academic subject.
