Student experience exhibition: 1970s Summer Balls

The Culture Team are working with students on placement towards an upcoming exhibition in the Emily Wilding Davison building about student experience, as documented through the College’s collections. How have parties, politics, perceptions and people changed across 170+ years of student life at Royal Holloway and Bedford New College?

They are currently seeking contributions from the Summer Balls in the 1970s and need your help! They would love to hear from you if you have any photos or other memorabilia you’d be willing to share, specifically from 1976, 1977 or 1978.

Digital submissions are welcomed via the form below - please also indicate if you would be willing to loan the physical items to the College for the exhibition. We can’t promise to be able to use all submissions and to follow up with everybody individually, but we will all definitely enjoy seeing what you send in!
