Teaching and learning in the academic year 2020/21

Teaching and learning in the academic year 2020/21

During the pandemic, at Royal Holloway we have continually adapted to ensure our students get the best possible experience – whatever the situation.

Some of our students may not have been, and still may not be, able to get to campus because of travel restrictions in their country. For this reason, all of our courses in 2020/21 have combined high quality face-to-face and online teaching.

The health and safety of our whole community is always a priority for us and so, early on, we put in place social distancing measures designed to protect everyone on campus. We plan to continue to operate in this way for the foreseeable future, in line with the prevailing Government guidance.

Here you can find out more about how our students and staff have adapted to a combination of on-campus and online learning.

Second year Management with International Business student, Farah Hanif shares her positive experience of face-to-face and online learning during her term one, including using Moodle, our virtual learning environment.
