We have loads of opportunities for you to get involved with Sustainability at the College. Whether you're a member of staff or a student there's plenty you can do. If you're interested in doing any work with the Sustainability Team just contact us and we'll get started straight away!
Throughout the year we carry out various projects that are focussed on sustainability. This can be with the Sustainability Team directly or in partnership with Royal Holloway's Community Action. Take a look at all the volunteering projects that they have to offer.
You can also get points for the Royal Holloway Passport Scheme. Any student can earn the award simply by collecting points for a range of activities. You can:
- develop the transferable skills employers are looking for
- learn how to sell yourself in a competitive job market
- receive a Passport Award certificate and celebrate your achievements
- gain recognition for the difference you make in College and local communities.
To find out more about the award go to Royal Holloway Passport. We have a range of activities that you can get involved with to earn points (such as the Green Impact Project, Biodiversity (Surveys/Habitat Enrichment). In addition to this there are Questionnaires, Go Green Week, Fairtrade Fortnight and finally running events or making media productions that promote Sustainability on campus.
Most of these involve a time commitment and then you can get a number of different awards depending on how many points you have accumulated. If you want further information on how you may get involved then please do get in contact with us.
