All undergraduate and postgraduate students can apply for a Choral Scholarship, worth up to £700 a year. This is paid as a cash award at the end of each term. These scholarships are normally held for three years.
You don’t need to be studying a music degree to apply, but you will need to attend an audition to be considered.
Choral scholars sing in the Choir of Royal Holloway, performing a weekly lunchtime concert and a weekly service of choral evensong.
You will receive training by Vocal Consultant Mark Wilde and members of the King’s Singers: our Ensemble in Residence. You will also get to perform with a wide range of musicians, go on foreign tours and record CDs.
The number of scholarships awarded each year varies based on the quality of the candidates who apply.
