The Peter Le Grys prize has been established in honour of their son by Rev Dr Alan Le Grys and Mrs Linda Le Grys, after Peter, a History graduate of Royal Holloway, passed away in 2017 at the age of thirty-five.
The Le Grys family has generously decided to found a prize bursary to provide financial assistance to students on Royal Holloway’s unique MA in Crusader Studies. This was the area of History that Peter particularly enjoyed, and which he had hopes of returning to for further study.
The Bursary
The Peter Le Grys Memorial Prize will provide a bursary towards any costs associated with study such as reading material or research travel, of up to £2,000 (exact amount to be confirmed, depending on need) to an entrant on the MA in Crusader Studies who shows exceptional academic promise.

All applicants who have received an offer of a place on the MA in Crusader Studies will be eligible to apply for the bursary.
