Two scholarships are available to new full-time Masters students from India who have outstanding academic ability, with preference given to students with a connection to Uttar Pradesh.
Scholarships are offered as a tuition fee reduction of £10,000.
Am I eligible?
Two awards are available to new eligible taught Masters students on specific programmes, with one award allocated to a student on the MSc Artificial Intelligence or MSc Artificial Intelligence with a Year in Industry courses (recipient of this award must take the CS5980: Autonomous Intelligent Systems module).
The second award will be available to a student studying MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management, MSc Engineering Management or MSc Project Management.
It is expected that candidates have achieved, or are on target to achieve, a First Class Honours degree or equivalent.
How do I apply?
Applications for 2022 entry are closed. Applicants will be made aware of the outcome of their application after 26 July 2022.
Application guidelines
Please provide a supporting statement of no longer than 400 words (please note that statements that exceed the word count will be automatically rejected), which should include:
- Academic achievements you are particularly proud of and why these really matter to you
- Why you have chosen to do the degree you have applied for
- What your future aspirations are and how the scholarship will help you to achieve your future goals
- What connection you have with the state of Uttar Pradesh
Your statement will be judged on how effectively and convincingly you respond to the above.
As well as your statement, you will need to upload your most recent grades transcript from your undergraduate degree. Any applications that are submitted without an uploaded transcript will be rejected.
Terms and conditions
Two scholarships are available to support new full-time masters students from India who have outstanding academic ability, with preference given to students who have a connection with Uttar Pradesh. Two awards are available to new eligible taught Masters students on specific programmes, with one award allocated to a student on the MSc Artificial Intelligence or MSc Artificial Intelligence with a Year in Industry courses and the second award will be available to a student on either MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management, MSc Engineering Management or MSc Project Management. The awardee taking the MSc Artificial Intelligence or MSc Artificial Intelligence with a Year in Industry must take the CS5980: Autonomous Intelligent Systems module.
Eligibility
Open to support new full-time students who are Indian nationals, resident in India, and who have a conditional or unconditional offer to study on one of the following full time programmes at Royal Holloway:
- MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management
- MSc Engineering Management
- MSc Project Management.
- MSc Artificial Intelligence (including CS5980: Autonomous Intelligent Systems)
- MSc Artificial Intelligence with a Year in Industry (including CS5980: Autonomous Intelligent Systems)
It is expected that candidates have achieved, or are on target to achieve, a First Class Honours degree or equivalent.
Allocation
Candidates will be selected based on academic achievement and a scholarship statement. Along with the scholarship statement, applicants will need to upload their most recent grades transcript from their undergraduate degree. The donors will also be involved in the decision-making process for this scholarship.
Payment
Scholarships are offered as a partial tuition fee reduction of £10,000 for the first year of a Royal Holloway taught Masters degree. No additional payment or tuition fee remission is offered in the second year of a two-year Masters degree. The scholarship will be disbursed in the form of a contribution to tuition fees paid directly into the Royal Holloway Tuition Fee account on behalf of the individual scholar. No additional payment is offered in any following years.
