This scholarship is available to students from the United States with outstanding academic ability studying any taught Masters course. The scholarship is offered as a cash award of £3,000.
Am I eligible?
You must be a US citizen applying for a full-time taught Masters course with a current grade average in the range of a First Class full-time Honours degree, or equivalent.
How do I apply?
Applications must be submitted through RH Direct by 11.59pm (UK time) 11 July 2022. Applicants will be made aware of the outcome of their application after 26 July 2022.
Application guidelines
You must provide a supporting statement of no longer than 400 words (please note that statements that exceed the word count will automatically be rejected), which should include:
- academic achievements you are particularly proud of and why these really matter to you
- why you have chosen to do the degree you have applied for
- what your future aspirations are and how the scholarship will help you to achieve your future goals.
Your statement will be judged on how effectively and convincingly you respond to the above.
As well as your statement, you will need to upload your most recent grades transcript from your undergraduate degree. Any applications that are submitted without an uploaded transcript will be rejected.
Terms and conditions
This scholarship is available to support new students from the US with outstanding academic ability. It is available to new eligible, full time, taught Masters students in any subject and is designed to cover the cost of postgraduate accommodation in the first year of study.
Eligibility
Open to new full-time taught Masters students who are United States citizens.
Candidates should have a current grade average in the range of a First Class Honours degree or equivalent.
Allocation
Candidates will be assessed based on academic performance to date. A strong Scholarship Statement is also required. Along with the scholarship statement, applicants will need to upload their most recent grades transcript from their undergraduate degree.
Payment
American Foundation of RHBNC International Excellence Scholarship is offered as a cash award of £3,000 and is disbursed, in instalments, in the first year of a Royal Holloway Masters degree. No additional payment is offered in any following years.
