Choose from between two types of tour:
If you're thinking about studying at Royal Holloway as an undergraduate or postgraduate and you're unable to attend one of our Open Days, you may like to take a tour around our campus instead. You can book one of two different types of campus tour: guided or self-led tours.
Campus tours are not department specific so if you would like to meet academics from your chosen department we recommend attending an Open Day. If you receive an offer to study at Royal Holloway, you'll be invited to attend an Applicant Visit Day, which provides another opportunity to visit our campus and meet staff and students.
If you intend to get here by car or motorbike you need to provide your vehicle details in our booking forms.
One of our Student Ambassadors will show you around the College and share their own experience of studying here.
Available Wednesdays at 2pm.
Duration is approximately one hour.
Independently explore the campus using one of our suggested routes, however, if you can make it to one of our guided tours we suggest booking one of these.
Available everyday from 9am to 5pm.
Duration depends on your selected route.
We will show you as many of our facilities as possible, including our Halls of Residence, libraries and social spaces. Please note it isn't always possible to take tour groups inside student accommodation due to availability, although we will do our best to arrange this.
Bookings for guided campus tours close at 3pm the previous day, but you can email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01784 414112 if you wish to book a last-minute place. If you're unable to attend on a Wednesday, we will attempt to arrange a guided campus tour on a date that is convenient for you.
If you're taking a guided tour, a Student Ambassador will be waiting to greet you by the Founder's Building clock tower. You can bring as many guests as you like, but we do ask that you let us know how many you'll be bringing.
Please only book if you are a prospective student. Guests and family do not need to book separately.
If you're taking a self-led tour you won't be able to look inside our student accommodation, but you can view images on our accommodation web pages.
Booking a self-led tour is required so that:
we can provide you with all the relevant information
let you know if any other events are taking place
we know which guests to expect on campus
the correct materials are ready for your arrival
Your self-led guide and welcome pack must be collected from the Student Services Centre in the Windsor Building (Monday- Friday) or Bedford Library (weekends).
