All undergraduate and postgraduate students can apply for a choral scholarship, which is worth up to £700 every year. This is paid as a cash award in the form of a cheque at the end of each term. These scholarships are normally held for three years.
You don't need to be studying for a degree in music to apply for this scholarship but you will need to attend an audition to be considered.
Choral scholars sing in the Choir of Royal Holloway, performing a weekly 30-minute lunchtime concert during term-time and a weekly service of choral evensong. You will also receive training by Vocal Consultant Mark Wilde and members of the King's Singers: our Ensemble in Residence.
You will also get the opportunity to perform with a wide range of other musicians, go on foreign tours and record CDs.
The number of scholarships awarded each year varies based on the quality of the candidates who apply.
How do I apply?

Auditions for choral scholarships comprise the performance of two contrasting songs (of your own choice), sight-singing and aural tests. Auditions tend to last 20 minutes.
