If you have a complaint to make against a landlord you should get in touch with Student Accommodation immediately. We will seek to assist you (or refer you to another source of advice if more appropriate) and will be able to make a record of the problem. If these problems are of a serious nature or your landlord appears to persistently receive complaints we may see fit to decline to advertise their properties upon HouseSearch.
Please note, however, that the limit of the Student Accommodation office’s powers is to prohibit a landlord from using our advertising website, and we are unable to take an active role in mediations, prosecutions or claims against landlords. If you require assistance in resolving a dispute with your landlord, please seek assistance from the Student Advice & Support Centre in the Students' Union or the University of London Housing Service (ULHS) private sector housing advice service.
