Tara-Jayne, one of our second year students gives you a trip around campus!

Our campus is the focal point of student life at Royal Holloway as you’ll find most of your teaching, studying and living facilities here. Our buildings are a combination of historic and modern, from the Grade I listed Founder’s Building – the heart of our campus – to the state-of-the-art Emily Wilding Davison Building.

We also have great spaces to eat, drink and socialise and with a Starbucks on campus you're never too far away from a decent coffee!

Don’t just take our word for it – experience the beauty of our campus in Tara's video.

Places to eat, places to stay, things to see...

There’s lots of places to eat on campus depending on your mood. You could get a sit-down meal in the Hub or Founder’s Dining Hall, or grab a sandwich from the Boilerhouse Cafe, Cafe on The Square or Tommy’s Kitchen in the Students’ Union.

Fancy going for a walk? Royal Holloway has a beautiful, scenic campus with lots of lovely walking routes. When you arrive, think about picking up a walks leaflet from your Hall reception (or Founder’s reception, if you’re not staying in Halls) and then just walking out and exploring.

Windsor Great Park and Virginia Water Lake are also right on our doorstep. A ten minute walk will take you to one of the largest parks in Surrey, with stunning views and charming, intimate walks.

Our beautiful campus is always developing

We’re lucky to have one of the most beautiful university campuses in the world, with excellent teaching and study spaces, bars and cafés, high-quality accommodation, and sports facilities. We hope you’ll enjoy living with us!

At the moment we’re working to develop our historic campus. This term our new Library and Student Services Centre, the Emily Wilding Davison Building opens. This state-of-the-art building provides you with modern facilities and complements our inspiring and iconic Founder’s Building. We’ve also just refreshed some of our existing Halls and opened a brand new student residences, the George Eliot Halls. If you’re living in the Eliot Halls you’re the first students to ever live there!  As you go around campus you’ll see there is more work underway, including the construction of a new Science Building, offering teaching facilities for all departments.
