Enrolment for new students

Enrolment is the process of registering for your studies in the new academic year and a chance for you to keep us informed of important information such as your contact details and emergency contacts.

Enrol in three steps

Before you start your studies, the Student Services Centre will send you your enrolment email. The email will include your IT username and password and instructions on how to complete the three steps of enrolment.

The email will be sent to all students who have accepted their offer of study.

We will start sending out enrolment emails to students beginning their course in:

  • January 2024 from Wednesday 13 December 2023
  • September 2023 from Tuesday 22 August 2023

There are three enrolment steps you need to complete before you commence your studies:

Submit a photo for your Student ID Card

In addition to the three enrolment steps, you will need to submit a photo for your Student ID Card before the deadline to ensure it is ready for the start of term.

Check your enrolment status

To check your enrolment status, log into Campus Connect, click on the 'Enrolment' tab and select ‘Start of Session Checklist’. This will show you when you have completed Online Sign-up, Tuition Fee Payment and Identity Check. Your Start of Session checklist will update once we have reviewed and processed your request, it is not an instant update. It is likely it won't show as 'complete' until closer to the start of term.

The checklist will continue to update closer to the start of term. You may find that there are general information messages with ‘!’. This means that the part of the checklist is not yet live. But don’t worry, you can keep checking every week to see the information and completed steps of your enrolment update.

Check the enrolment deadline for your course

The standard deadline to enrol at the University is 21 days from the start of your course. However, some Schools have set an earlier deadline due to the intensity of the course at the start of term. To check your School’s latest arrival and enrolment date please see the below table.

Failure to enrol & late arrival

You should aim to arrive and enrol as soon as possible at the start of term and at the latest by your School's enrolment deadline.

If you cannot arrive by your School's deadline then you may need to consider deffering your studies to the next academic year. In some exceptional cases, and where appropriate evidence is provided before the deadline the School, with Student Administration may temporarily accept a late arrival and enrolment. You should first contact your School to discuss this.

For further details, including if you are delayed coming to campus or arriving in the UK please visit the Failure to enrol webpages

If you are due to be in Halls of Residence, you should also inform Student Accommodation of your delay.

Your late arrival and enrolment will not change your liability for tuition or accommodation fees.
