The final step of Enrolment is your Identity check which is a compulsory element for every student starting a new programme at Royal Holloway. Please note that this is not the same as your Departmental Induction, or your check-in into Halls accommodation, where you might also be asked to present your ID.
What do I need to bring?
Make sure you bring:
- a valid passport or EU National Identity Card
- if you have a visa to live/study in the UK, you must bring this along too.
If you're a UK student and don't have a valid passport, please email us for further advice.
ID check during Welcome Week (16 to 22 September 2017)
As a new student arriving for the start of the new academic year in September, your identity can be checked between 10am and 6pm in the Windsor Building during Welcome Week (see our campus plan). We’ll be open for identity checks throughout Welcome Week.
The identity checks for students registered on the following programmes will take place on specific dates/times. Please click the relevant link below to find out more:

Please complete our book my identity check form to let us know when you would like to come for your identity check. This will give us the opportunity to check your record is all set up and ready for you to complete enrolment.
If you're joining Royal Holloway as a visiting student in January (Erasmus, International Exchange and Study Abroad terms two and three) there is no need for you to complete the 'book my identity check' form as ID check sessions will be organised separately for you. You'll be emailed with further details.
