This month we're welcoming some recent graduates back on campus as staff members. 30 alumni from the Class of 2017 are undertaking month-long internships in the university or with one or our employer partners as part of the Graduate Career Development Internships scheme.

The internship scheme, which is a new initiative organised and facilitated by the Careers & Employability Service, enables alumni to put their degree skills into practice and get professional work experience. The paid internships are for four days a week and run for approximately one month. The participants are involved in a variety of job roles, all of which offer professional work experience and involve using high level skills such a; research, professional writing, marketing, data analysis or working with complex software.

Some of the interns who are based a long commute from the College are staying in the George Eliot Hall.

All internships also come with a personalised career development package to help our new staff members plan for their next steps and pitch your degree skills and work experience to future employers.

We cannot wait to watch their space!
