International/EU Tuition fees

Find out what the fees are for your current programme at Royal Holloway

You need to pay tuition fees every year you study at Royal Holloway.  Fees aren't set in advance, so fees in future years may rise with the rate of inflation (up to a maximum of 5%).

If you're on a joint or major/minor course, your fee will be the same as that for the major subject.

If you're not a current student and you want to know what you'll be paying in your first year of study, please take a look on our 'Fees and Funding' pages

The Postgraduate Research Writing Up Fee for students previously in full time mode of study is £460 for 2023/24. The fee for part time students is £230 for each writing up year.

The Postgraduate Research extension fee (extension to the Writing Up year) is £470 for up to six months – more than six months is pro-rata for every additional month.

If students submit during a designated writing up year, they are entitled to a pro-rata refund which is calculated according to the date of submission. Pro-rata refund does not apply to the extension period.
