Find out more about our upcoming Taster Days with the Drama department
Our 2019-20 Drama Taster Days have now taken place.
At Royal Holloway, University of London we are offering potential applicants the opportunity to come to our beautiful 135 acre campus for a Drama Taster Day on Wednesday 6 November 2019. The session is ideal for students at further education level, who are thinking about taking one of our Performing Arts courses when proceeding onto higher education.
The Taster Day will include:
- An introduction to Drama with leading academics, support staff and student ambassadors
- A chance to explore Drama facilities, including our Caryl Churchill Theatre, followed by a campus tour led by our current students
- A practical taster session where you will get the chance to meet fellow students wishing to study Drama at Royal Holloway. Our taster session will give you an idea of how they might put course learning into practise
- The opportunity to ask any questions you may have during a Q&A session and evaluation discussion. Our current students will lead this, offering you an insight into the life of a Royal Holloway student
Combining group-based seminars with practical performance activities, the day will be a fun and interactive experience for those interested in the course. From the day, visitors will reflect on their own course specific interests and learning - assets which will help potential applicants decide whether Drama at Royal Holloway, University is the right course for them.
This Taster Day begins with registration in the foyer of the Davison Building at 10am. The day will finish at 3pm and visitors are asked to bring a packed lunch or money to buy lunch on campus.
