Science Festival 2019

Welcome to Royal Holloway Science Festival. We have run our hugely popular annual Science Open Day for over 20 years, celebrating science and attracting large audiences each year.

We have a thriving science community here at Royal Holloway, with world-class pioneering research, so this is a great opportunity for everyone to come along and discover some of the exciting things that we are up to. At Royal Holloway, it is important for us to engage the next generation in these subjects and make it fun as part of the national celebrations in British Science Week.

Through the range of activities at Royal Holloway Science Festival, we can demonstrate the wide-ranging impact of science and explore the latest technological advances together.

This year’s Science Festival takes place on Saturday 9 March, 10am-4pm

An enormous programme is shaping up thanks to our enthusiastic staff and students. We will also be joined by some exciting science partners and speakers on the day including science energy talks from The Royal Institution, maths juggling, birds of prey, pop up planetarium and the science behind space exploration.
Entry and all talks and activities are free and advanced booking before the day is not required.
Free tickets for morning shows and talks will be released at 9.45am from the Windsor Building Information Point, and afternoon show tickets (events from 1pm) will be released at 11.45am. All tickets are first come first served and seating is unreserved.
There is free car parking across campus - our postcode is TW20 0EX.

Travelling by train? We're running a free shuttle bus service for festival visitors available from 10am-5pm, between Egham Station and the main campus (tennis courts bus shelter) on the hour every hour. There is also a pay bus (RH3) at £1 per ticket, running on the half hour from and to Egham Station from 11.30am onwards.
We look forward to seeing you here!
