The Gender Institute will maintain a library here of different sorts of resources for the study of genders and sexualities: resources at Royal Holloway, University of London; resources around the area; and resources across the Internet. This list of resources will be ever-expanding, so please feel free to contact us with things you feel like could benefit other members of the community.
For now, we would like to highlight a gender-based research centre that pre-dated the Gender Institute on campus: The Bedford Centre for the History of Women and Gender. The Bedford Centre promotes research in the history of women and gender, creates networks of scholars working in these fields, fosters teaching about the history of women and gender, inspires discussions about women in the past that relate to current debates and public history, forges links between historians of women and gender and feminists outside the academy, and engages with the public.
