Our team of four Marketing students reached the semi-finals after running a charity speed dating event which raised over £300 for a children's charity in South Africa. A delegation from the University Business Challenge visited campus to recognise this fantastic achievement and award certificates to our students.
The students were commended on their efforts by the UBC team, and we were encouraged as a School to take part in the challenge again next year. The UBC team then gave a brief presentation on the history of the challenge and how its proceeds go to benefit worthy causes in South Africa. The students also took the opportunity to thank their academic tutor, Dr Lucy Gill-Simmen, for her help and support during the challenge.
