Dr Serena Wright acted as invited chair to host the Inside Government conference on Prison Management in central London on 12 September 2019.

The conference brought together academics, interest groups, charities, practitioners, and former offenders in discussing the themes and developments of prison management, and schemes which have improved the lives of offenders and prison officers. The speakers came from various backgrounds, bringing together professionals, academics, and charity sector work to discuss the issues, including Clinks , The Forward Trust, The Howard League, HM Prisons and Probation Service, and Unlocked Grads.

Dr Wright summed up the proceedings in her closing address by emphasising the need for partnership and multi-agency working to be at the heart of everything we do.
