The Department of Geography at Royal Holloway, University of London has achieved the Athena Swan UK Silver Award 2023.
The Athena Swan Charter is a framework that supports and transforms gender equality within higher education (HE) and research. It was established in 2005 to encourage and recognise commitment to advancing the careers of women in science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine (STEMM) employment. Geography holds a Silver Departmental Athena SWAN award which recognise the commitment of our department to address gender equality. We endeavour to provide an inclusive environment to all staff and students, in relation to all aspects of teaching and research, to allow them to achieve their full potential.
