PhD VIVA success for Taimur Mirza!

The Department of Electronic Engineering is pleased to announce that Taimur Mirza has passed his viva voce examination.

Taimur’s thesis, “Suppression of Nonlinear Distortions in a Radio over fiber system" was supervised by Dr. Shyqyri Haxha, and investigated  the removal of the frequencies generated due to the nonlinear behaviour of a radio over fiber system.

The research domain is a very attractive and promising technology in future broadband communications worldwide, attracting significant attention due to its bandwidth capacity and cybersecurity.

The thesis findings were disseminated in 3 high impact journals and, in collaboration with Leonardo Defence company, 2 patents have been submitted.
