Paris Dauphine - Royal Holloway PhD Workshop

Paris Dauphine - Royal Holloway PhD Workshop

  • Date23 June 2022

Yesterday, 23rd June, the Economics department welcomed PhD students and early career researchers from Paris Dauphine University (PDU) for a joint RHUL-PDU workshop.

The collaboration between RHUL and PDU commenced in the Spring of 2020 when Arthur Juet (a PhD student at Paris Dauphine) began a research visit to the Economics department at Royal Holloway. His visit was unfortunately interrupted by the covid pandemic so, together with Sidharth Rony, they created an online coffee hour for students from RHUL and PDU to discuss their research and comment on each other’s work. The coffee hour was so well received that two years later it remains an ongoing legacy of the pandemic and has culminated in two in-person workshops where RHUL students had the opportunity to visit and present their work at PDU and vice-versa for PDU students.

This was an excellent initiative and both workshops were a great success. Thank you to Dan Anderberg and Arnaud Chevalier for organising Arthur’s research visit to RHUL, and thank you to Eve Caroli and Ija Trapeznikova for their help with the organisation of both workshops. See below for some photos from the day.
