"After visiting Royal Holloway for the first time, I knew it waaishas the university for me.  The beautiful surroundings and calm atmosphere, as well as a reputation as one of the best Psychology departments in the UK made it impossible to look elsewhere. The Psychology course at Royal Holloway enhances learning by offering a wide range of relevant and interesting modules. The lectures are not only fun, but also informative and thought provoking, offering an excellent opportunity for discussion and reflection. In my opinion, the strongest aspect of this course is the dedication of the staff. Their commitment to providing detailed and constructive feedback enabled me to develop my understanding as well as improving the quality of my written work. Throughout my time at Royal Holloway, the department has successfully provided a challenging and stimulating course, endowing me with a great experience and lifelong skills." Aisha Rajah

"After visiting RHUL and falling in love with the beautiful buildings and campus, I was Aliceinstantly interested into looking into the possibility of studying here. The Psychology department at RHUL has actually exceeded my expectations. The staff are always on hand to help and are very approachable and friendly. I also love the fact that the course is extremely interesting and it really challenges me academically. I have thoroughly enjoyed studying here, the campus is friendly, the university is in a perfect location. But best of all, the Psychology department has allowed me gain a much deeper understanding into psychology whilst having fun. I was also given the opportunity to be a research assistant in a really interesting research project on eye movements, which was conducted by Dr Tim Holmes at the Science Museum. There are lots of different work experience opportunities for all years at RHUL but the department is particularly helpful in offering work placements and internships to students when they are in their second year. The advantage of this degree is that it offers both the theory and the practical application, which is ideal for anyone hoping to go into Psychology after they have graduated." Alice Lowenhoff

The course itself offers various modules in different areas of Psychology, providing a multidimensional and solid base for further education or career prospects.   The campus is within easy reach of London, but still independent enough to avoid the heavy traffic and crime of a big city . Wide range of societies and clubs ensure that you will never get bored. Campus is not only breath taking, but also offers every facility you might need, including highly modern classrooms, libraries and computer rooms. I enjoyed every single day here and I’m proud that I’ll always be a part of Royal Holloway community." Durdica Strunjas Kurt

League tables showed Royal Holloway as a true front-runner in terms of research and the department as a whole were so very welcoming. Throughout my three years here, I have learnt so much about Psychology and have also grown as an individual. Lectures are well organised and encourage independent thought. Furthermore, staff are very approachable and offer as much support as you might need throughout your time here. Numerous areas of Psychology are covered, from social Psychology to neuroscience. Also, living in a small campus university is fantastic, the people are so friendly and you end up bumping into people you know all the time!" - Steph Sampson
